Access Requirements
Access to the doctoral study programme Electrical Engineering is granted to candidates who have completed:
- a 2nd cycle study programme;
- a study programme educating for professions regulated by EU directives or another coherent Master’s study programme awarding 300 ECTS;
- a study programme leading to university education adopted prior to 11 June 2004;
- a study programme leading to the Master of Science title; candidates are granted 60 ECTS for the completed study components;
- a specialisation study programme, as well as previously completing a study programme leading to university education, adopted prior to 11 June 2004; candidates are granted 60 ECTS for the completed study components;
- a study programme leading to a specialisation, as well as previously completing a higher education professional programme adopted prior to 11 June 2004, provided the candidates have also completed additional study components awarding 36 ECTS, as determined by the relevant committee of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering from among the 1st year subjects of the 2nd cycle Electrical Engineering programme: four compulsory professional subjects depending on the study option and two elective professional subjects;
- an equivalent programme of another university. The equivalence of education previously acquired abroad is ascertained through the procedure for the recognition of foreign qualifications with a view to access to further education in accordance with Article 121 of the UL Statutes.
Selection criteria in the case of limited enrolment
In the selection of candidates, 2nd cycle performance is taken into account as follows:
The average 2nd cycle grade excluding the grade for the Master’s thesis and its defence, or the average grade of university studies adopted prior to 11 June 2004, excluding the grade for the graduation thesis and its defence. | Grade x 7 |
